About this book

The Three Men and the Cave is a child-friendly retelling of an authentic hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari 3465. Three travellers take shelter in a cave when rain begins to fall, but a huge rock suddenly blocks the entrance. Trapped inside, they turn to Allah and each man mentions a sincere good deed he had done, asking Allah to remove the difficulty. With each sincere supplication, the rock moves until Allah allows them to leave the cave. Through the three men's experiences, children learn about being truthful, doing good deeds sincerely for Allah, giving people their rights, caring for parents, and staying away from what Allah has forbidden. The book also teaches children to ask Allah for help when facing difficulties and to remember sincere good deeds when making du'a. It reminds them that Allah can remove a difficulty, even when a situation seems impossible. The story is based on the authentic hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and includes the source reference at the end of the book: Sahih al-Bukhari 3465, Book 60, Hadith 132. A meaningful Islamic story for children that connects an authentic hadith with practical lessons they can apply in everyday life.
